How to Choose the Best LED Mirror for Your Bathroom
Why LED Mirrors Are Worth It
If you have ever struggled with poor lighting while getting ready in the morning, an LED mirror is the upgrade your bathroom needs. Unlike regular mirrors that rely on external lighting, LED mirrors have built-in lights that illuminate your face evenly — no more shadows, no more guessing.
At Amar Glass Studio, we have installed hundreds of LED mirrors across homes in Bhayandar, Mira Road, Nalasopara, and Vasai. Here is what our customers ask us most before buying.
1. Choose the Right Size
The most common mistake is picking a mirror that is too small. As a rule:
- Bathroom vanity: mirror should be at least as wide as the sink basin
- Full-length dressing: 48x60 inches or larger
- Above toilet or side wall: 18x24 to 24x36 inches is ideal
We offer custom sizes — so if your wall is an odd dimension, we cut and frame to fit perfectly.
2. Warm White vs Cool White LED
LED color temperature matters more than people think:
- Warm white (3000K) — cozy, flattering for skin tone, good for bedrooms
- Neutral white (4000K) — balanced, great for bathrooms and dressing areas
- Cool white (6000K) — bright, clinical feel, preferred for makeup precision
Most customers choose 4000K for bathrooms. Our backlit LED mirrors give a soft glow around the edges, while front-lit ones give direct light on the face.
3. Touch Dimmer Feature
A touch dimmer lets you adjust brightness with a single tap. This is especially useful if you use the bathroom at night — a dim setting will not blind you at 2am. All our premium LED mirrors include touch dimmers.
4. Anti-Fog Glass
After a hot shower, a regular mirror fogs up completely. Anti-fog LED mirrors have a heating element behind the glass that keeps it clear. This is worth the small extra cost, especially in monsoon season.
5. IP Rating for Bathroom Use
Always check the IP (Ingress Protection) rating. For bathrooms, a minimum of IP44 is recommended. Our LED mirrors are rated IP54 — protected against water splashes from any direction.
Price Range at Amar Glass Studio
Our LED mirrors start from Rs.85/sqft. A standard 24x36 inch bathroom LED mirror typically costs between Rs.2,500 to Rs.6,000 depending on features like dimmer, anti-fog, and frame style.
